yourOUTsource: Your LGBT Resource

Your OUT Source is all about community.  We are a non-profit organization whose main goal is to unite the LGBT  community and promote all the great work that non-profit and social change organizations are making on behalf of the entire LGBT community.  

It is the mission of this organization to equip the community with the resources necessary to inspire individual and corporate change in a positive manner and to create advocacy so that this change can occur.  Partnerships with other community-based organizations are key to every program designed by Your Out Source.  It is our belief that positive change will occur on a larger scale and more efficiently if we bridge the gaps between organizations and assist them in working together on behalf of the entire LGBT community.

Upcoming OUTsource Programs include:

• An Oral History Project and Performance Production that focus on the LGBT movement in Hampton Roads over the last five years.
• Website Resources for students, educators, professionals and advocates that include statistics, case studies and documents from a variety of other LGBT Non-Profit organizations
• A comprehensive calendar of events for all LGBT Non-Profit organizations and social establishments in Hampton Roads.
• A comprehensive directory of LGBT Non-Profit organizations in Hampton Roads
• An upcoming rating system, called outSCORE, in which consumers have buying power while armed with a grade-book of all local businesses in Hampton Roads
• Monthly events organized by Your Out Source, while partnering with other organizations to create good quality, fun and educational events for the LGBT Community.
• An Educational Component that provides training in a variety of areas that benefit the LGBT community.
